What it Takes to Turn a Conventional Bank into a Contemporary Financial Center Background Janata Sahakari Bank established in Chandan Nagar has been a reliable partner for years, and the company aimed to expand its key directions for customers’ experience and internal processes improvement. The bank realized the current structure of branches is outdated and it’s high time that suite the changing needs of the customer and the advancing technology. The project required of Superb Interiors to work to an overall transformation of the conventional bank area into modern and customer focused. 

Client’s Problem The space organisation of the existing bank branches was poor, which saw a lot of client congestion during rush hours and aiming at addressing this problem was the major reason behind the redesign of the client environment. Some of the areas were not well decorated, and the interior design looked outdated and could not attract the young generation. Further more, the workspace had not enhanced to support productivity and workspace of the employees.

Project Scope Superb Interiors worked for the digestive remodelling of a branch of Janata Sahakari Bank existing in Chandan Nagar. The project encompassed:

  • Space Planning and Optimization: Changing the branch layout to increase the flow and make the branch divided up, into customer transaction area, teller area and information services area. 
  • Interior Design: The Problem involved in coming up with a modern and warm appearance feel for the bank while positioning it as unique brand that its clientele can relate to. 
  • Modular Furniture Integration: The use of ergonomic and movable furniture to enhance use of space and design a working environment that is far from conventional.
  • Signage and Wayfinding: Procedures for maintenance, layout of the branch to ensure proper and easy to decipher signage in order to guide the customers. 
  • Lighting and Acoustics: Brightening up the environment with the right form of lighting and preventing noise distractions. 

Superb Interiors: Precision in Design and Manufacturing

With a deep understanding of industrial and corporate workspace requirements, Superb Interiors embarked on a collaborative process to design and manufacture custom furniture.

Modular Furniture Solution To ensure that the branch can change to meet the demands of all their clients, Superb Interiors implemented the use of modular furniture. Mobile desks and meeting enclosures were put in place because of the need to foster the formation of active and open work areas for the workers. The The dynamism of the WCC was further improved by the fact that it was fitted with moveable furniture, which could be reconfigured to other changes that might be felt in future at the bank.   • Digital Kiosks: For example, to facilitate fast transactions and decrease the customers’ waiting time, using self-service kiosks should be integrated. 
  • Comfortable Seating Areas: Making it possible for the customers make some reclining positions while waiting for their turn. 
  • Signage and Wayfinding: Below are some of the measures that can be taken: Ensuring that the branch is easy to navigate by the customers by making sure that there is sufficient and good signages.
